Sleep late.
Don't call your mother.
Talk to strangers.
Dine in shorts.
Vining's Bistro was started in 1991, when
Steve and Lynda Vining opened the doors on this small (emphasize
small!), cozy Mom-and-Pop neighborhood restaurant. The style
and atmosphere here reflect the owner's 20 years experience,
his love of great food and his passion for world travel. "....Bored
with the heavy classic French cuisine of the late '70s and
early '80s, I sold my first restaurant and traveled the world
for two years. It was my experiences with other cultures and
cuisines that inspired me to open 'Vining's Bistro.' "

Executive Chef Myles Huntington is in his
tenth season here creating and serving this multi-ethnic fare,
with two decades of experience in exiting food. Specializing
in the exotic, he showcases foods from many different cultures;
everything from classic French to New World- with occasional
selections from Mediterranean, Asian, American barbecue, North
African, Caribbean/Tropical, and Local Cape cooking. Some
consider us to have an "adult dining" focus- concentrating
on complex, flavorful spicy blends and sometimes extreme heat.
There is fare for the less adventurous-but doesn't that take
all of the fun out of it???
Vining's Bistro earned the Boston Globe's
acclaim as "The Best Woodgrill on the Cape", June
25, 1991. The restaurant was also recently featured on Boston's
award-winning television magazine program as anchor Mary Richardson's
best dining restaurant choice in Chatham, July 20, 2000. |
